"New York City is a wonderful
place when you have money,
but when you're broke,
its pure hell"
Moetvworld

When I arrived in NYC in 2004, a good
friend said to me,” New York City is a
wonderful place when you have money, but
when you’re broke, its pure hell."  I
remember him telling me that, because
two months into my stay, it became just
that, "hell!"  I moved to the city with the
intentions of getting an amazing bartending
job for the night and auditioning daily for my
first Broadway gig. Well reality moved in
quickly, everyone wanted a bartending job,
ten thousand other males were in town
trying to get on Broadway and my $1,300
savings ran out in one month.

So what are my options? I could run back
home to South Carolina, sit in my bed
crying or figure out a way to make this
move permanent.  I chose to make New
York City my home.  Through the many
people I met and spoke with, they all gave
me the same solid advice,' get out and
make friends, New York is about who you
know!"  Well I made some wonderful
friends and I quickly learned how to survive.

Thanks for visiting my site, consider me
your new friend.  I'll give you all the tools
that were given to me.  I was broke for
many years in the city, but I still enjoyed
Broadway shows, the wonderful nightlife,
saw several concerts and ate in many
restaurants.  You want to know how I did
it?  Well get out your pen and paper and
get ready to take notes.
